Outcomes
Retired managing director, Peter, is in good shape except for suffering with arthritis in his knees.
Playing rugby in earlier life, together with the usual wear and tear has more than likely contributed to his current condition.
Peter’s aims were to strengthen the supporting muscles and lose weight to reduce the pressure on his knees.
Exercising in the underwater treadmill allowed both knees to move more freely, supported by the water and with the load dramatically reduced. Range of movement has increased and Peter’s overall health and fitness has improved.
This form of exercise has resulted in less pain, inflammation and joint stiffness – a welcome relief to anyone suffering with arthritis.
